ABSTRACT
Strain and stress of a box culvert using shrinkage compensating concreteweremeasured. Themeasurements were compared with the results of analysis using an analytical model (Figure 11). The correction factors of effective Young’s modulus used are listed in Table 6 Conditions of analysis are shown in Table 7 Analysis was made in the case with hyperbola parameters εf /ε0 = 0.05 and a = 1, 5. Strain caused by unrestrained expansion ε0 = 700 × 10−6 (Figure 8) was provided for analysis. As in the case of a restrained analytical model, no incremental strain in tension was reduced where expansion strain was expected to be unrestrained.
