ABSTRACT
What does Zachary show he knows about shapes and geometry? Zachary and his friends have been working on the Building Blocks curriculum which emphasizes putting shapes together. Children enjoy playing with puzzles and shapes, with challenges such as tangram puzzles provide. If such experiences are organized into learning trajectories, they can benefit and enjoy these experiences even more. Teachers report such experiences can change the way children see their world.
