At-Risk Adolescents: Self-Esteem, Youth Violence, and Teen Pregnancy: David A. Crenshaw and Jennifer Lee

A t-risk youth can suffer various forms of devaluation, assaults on their dignity and self-esteem that are at the core of deep, invisible emotional wounds that can result in violent acts or risky sexual behavior. To adequately address the complicated emotional underpinnings to youth violence requires careful exploration of the blows to their self-worth and sense of humanity.
