Innovation

Our fourth characteristic of creative learning is innovation. Creative learning by definition is purposive. In broad terms the product aimed for is change. The learner is changed in some way, most particularly by acquiring new knowledge and new skills, and undergoing personal change. There are transformations in the learner’s conceptions, understanding and the uses to which knowledge may be applied. There are also transformations in the learner’s understanding of self and identity and of social relations.
