Soccer (Association Football)

Although there is some evidence that a game involving foot-dribbling a leather ball took place in China as far back as 200 bc, the first solid scientific evidence of such an event points to the Chinese game of ‘Cuju’, dating between the third and second century bc. It is also known that the Greeks and Romans played a variant of the game which permitted carrying the ball.
