ABSTRACT
Rescission is a process whereby the parties to a contract are relieved from their obligations under the contract. The party making a successful application for rescission will be entitled to set aside the contract and to be restored to his former position prior to the contract. The contract is not void from the beginning but may be terminated at the option of one or both of the parties.
