ABSTRACT
Throughout this book, parenting surviving children after the death of a child has been explored from the standpoint of research and clinical practice. The intersection of these two perspectives results in a rich and comprehensive understanding of bereaved parenting. In this final chapter, the overarching themes of directions for future research, the impact of qualitative research on the participant and the researcher, and general implications for practice are presented.
