ABSTRACT
This part has considered the application of philosophy to historic buildings and the central role that conservation plans play in protecting the historic environment. It is essential to fully investigate a building before carrying out any work and to then apply the appropriate philosophical conservation approach of minimal intervention and respect for the cultural significance of a place.
