ABSTRACT

The A+ schools showed a sturdy resilience to stick with their commitment to the arts. Bucking the past history of arts education, all of the schools that participated in the pilot program retained a formal attachment to the reform and a sizeable cadre of schools continued arts integration in the classroom in spite of challenges that could easily have bumped the arts off of the list of school priorities.
