ABSTRACT
INTRODUCTION As I mentioned in the previous chapter, frequency distributions have three characteristics-form, central tendency, and variability-which are largely independent of one another. Knowing two of the characteristics does not typically tell you anything about the third. We have discussed both form and central tendency. We now need to discuss variability or dispersion.
