The Dynamic Unconscious and the Dissociative Structure of the Mind

Today, but only just recently in historical time, dissociation, relationality, and multiplicity have become part of mainstream models of the psyche. We are in a position now to revise and enrich the way we understand the dynamic unconscious from the standpoint of knowledge of the dissociative structure of the mind. In this chapter, I examine the interrelationships of multiplicity, relationality, trauma, dissociation, and repression and the effect of all of these on the way we understand the dynamic unconscious.
