ABSTRACT

According to a book by Nuremberg authors, the city has recently undergone ‘a miraculous transformation of Saul into Paul’.1 What has converted the city from pariah to saintly status, they claim, is its embracing of an identity as City of Peace and Human Rights and, as the most significant indication of this, its creation of a major new Documentation Centre, opened in late 2001, containing a substantial permanent exhibition, at the former Nazi Party Rally Grounds.
