ABSTRACT
In both Economics and Reality and Reorienting Economics, I fail to provide sufficient practical guidance for the conducting of research projects informed by the perspective I defend. This is the central contention of Paul Downward and Andrew Mearman. These reviewers seek in their chapter to provide the extra guidance they believe is required. And in their view, it is best achieved by encouraging economists and others to adopt triangulation as a principle of research design.
