ABSTRACT

Pure economic loss (i.e., an exclusively financial damage arising extracontractually without any previous harm to the person or property of the plaintiff ) is not distinguished as a separate notion in Polish legal writing. If it is referred to by the scholars, which usually happens in a comparative law context, pure economic loss is discussed as a specific problem appearing in certain foreign private-law systems.1
