This chapter is about preparation of the script and analysis of the action in the play. It has five steps:

Preparing the layout of your directing script Giving a name to each act or scene Events Intentions Getting the text ready for the actors

So far you will not have written anything into your text. However, at specific points you will have slipped several sheets of paper into your script giving you information about things like immediate circumstances.
