ABSTRACT
Our world is being reshaped by the competing forces of globalisation and regionalism. As new economic and political powers emerge, the centre of gravity of the world’s economy is shifting away from the old pact of economic strength that straddled the north Atlantic. Trade is one of the principal drivers of that change.
