ABSTRACT
This is a counting activity that produces a ‘magic’ result (attributed to Pythagoras), based on making three sides of a right-angled triangle.
The activity should help children to:
• match objects or steps with numbers • count to 3, 4 and 5 (and beyond with extension activities).
