ABSTRACT

ARNOLD LAZARUS had been at one time a staunch behavior therapist. In fact, he was the one to coin that term. He later embraced a far more integrative model in Behavior Therapy and Beyond that combined his early behavioral inclinations with cognitive therapy and other contributions. His trademark multimodal therapy thus became one of the most enduring systematic approaches that was both comprehensive and eclectic in orientation, providing practitioners with a model for assessment and treatment planning that includes all facets of human experience.
