ABSTRACT
This chapter assumes that the legacy of Critical Social Theory has made impressive contributions to our understanding of the social sciences, particularly linking critique and utopia. Yet it is evident that these contributions have not yet reached full force in the domain of education, particularly educational establishments and policy formation.
