Building automation systems (BAS), also known as building management systems (BMS), are principally integrated processor-based systems. A BAS out station is actually a digital controller that is linked into the entire BAS via a network. In principle, a BAS outstation (or digital controller) is a micro - computer system specially designed to be suitable for data acquisition, control and communication and other functions.
