ABSTRACT
This chapter first examines how and to what extent child development is relevant to psychological development in general and to Jung’s psychology in particular. It next examines how Jung viewed the child and how his conception of the child is related to his understanding of psychological development. Finally, it discusses the confusion in understanding Jung’s concept of the child as well as his contribution to discussions of psychological development.
