ABSTRACT
The analysis that has been conducted in the previous chapters has avoided focusing on any one legal system.Although it has centred on the European experience – rather than on that of the United States – it has pointed out some common features which are found in the European legal culture as a whole, including therefore legislation, case-law and scholarly works.
