ABSTRACT
Many similar incidents occur each year on campuses across the nation. Sometimes, actions arise from hatred; other times they are due to ignorance. ese incidents make the campus an uncomfortable place for students, faculty, and sta. Educators are oen tempted to avoid the discomfort, ignore the necessary dialogue, and return to the status quo. Educators must learn to resist that temptation, and instead strive to create an environment that encourages students of all races/ethnicities to work together to build a multicultural campus.
