ABSTRACT

Over the years, teaching in CTE programs has become more complex and demanding. Long gone are the days when students in the eld-formerly known as vocational education-used to spend their time working on projects involving the rote application of occupational skills. Today, students are more diverse and the curricular demands more rigorous. As a result, teaching and learning in CTE programs have become both complex and challenging. In this chapter we focus on the nature of teaching and learning aligned with the contemporary aims of CTE programs.
