ABSTRACT
Dredging projects worldwide are facing increasingly stricter environmental constraints and requirements from authorities, project owners and banks. Gone are the days where environmental considerations were second to economic interests and all other interests for that matter. Today, environmental impact assessments are mandatory in most cases, and with environmental criteria and objectives established, monitoring of environmental parameters is likewise becoming mandatory.
