ABSTRACT

The overall project implementation process is illustrated in Figure 3.1. This is a simplified diagram. Though the overall process is more complicated than this, for purposes of clarity, some of the other activities and linkages are illustrated in subsidiary diagrams, which are explained later in this chapter. Figure 3.1 is essentially a road map for the reader to see how the chapters in this guide are integrated into the whole environmental and project development process. The diagram also illustrates: ● Sequencing: The logical steps taken as the reader/manager works through the

implementation process; ● Linkages: How matters considered at particular stages of the process are linked

to other subjects, and ● How the environmental assessment and the design are related.
