ABSTRACT
For many years conservative religious groups as well as liberal religious groups have looked to the boycott as a tactic to further their goals. Often the concerns on the right have related to graphic depictions of sex and violence in film and television dramas. The concerns on the left, on the other hand, have often dealt with international humanitarian issues including mistreatment of various vulnerable populations such as women and children in developing countries of the world.
