ABSTRACT

A reliable signal that our mother-daughter relationship needs mending is our emotional distress-or our mother’s. We began this book with a look at the upsetting emotions that daughters feel, then examined the mother-blaming myths that cause or aggravate them; now we have come full circle-back to the emotions themselves. Now, with the help of the language of the myths, we can take a fresh, active look at what to do about those painful feelings.
