ABSTRACT

Mentoring («menÚtoÚ (\)ri˜) The concept of mentoring, as old as ancient Greece, has become fashionable once again in education. It refers to all the individual guidance faculty often have to give students to ensure their success, and it has special relevance to the support and guidance various disadvantaged populations have needed as they entered the academy in increasing numbers. Often neglected in all this is the mentoring that graduate students-with their highly individualized plans of studymust receive.
