ABSTRACT
Thomas J.Csordas is Professor of Anthropology at Case Western Reserve University. He is a co-editor of the journal Ethos, and President of the Anthropology of Religion Section of the American Anthropological Association. His publications include: The Sacred Self: A Cultural Phenomenology of Charismatic Healing (1994); Language, Charisma, and Creativity: The Ritual Life of a Religious Movement (1997); and the edited volume Embodiment and Experience: The Existential Ground of Culture and Self (1994).
