A. Overview A variety of novel synthetic reactions have been performed in organized molecular systems (OMSs). These organized media possess a number of advantages, including solubilization of substances that are not soluble in the continuous phase of the OMS, localization of reactants and products, selective orientation, and stabilization of various entities in the various stages of the reaction.
