ABSTRACT
Intuitively we conceive of a force as a push or pull; additionally, one must conceive of an object upon which the force acts. Since the object has finite dimensions and size, it must possess properties of both volume and mass. The most commonly observed force is that of gravity, which is the pull of the earth on every object on or near the earth’s surface.
