CHAPTER OBJECTIVES After you have studied this chapter, you should be able to formulate and solve for a timevarying (unsteady) heat conduction process for the following situations:
1. Where temperatures do not change with position. 2. In a simple slab geometry where temperatures vary also with position. 3. Near the surface of a large body (semi-infinite region).
