ABSTRACT

I. HISTORICAL DEVELOPMENT In general, an organization may be defined as a social invention developed by persons to accomplish things otherwise not possible. It is a social invention that takes a variety of people, knowledge, materials, and equipment and gives them structure and purpose to become an interrelated effective unit with common goals. An organization may also be described as a structured system by which decisions are transmitted from management to subordinate levels, taking into account communication, influence, authority, responsibility, and loyalty. Staffing supplies the people to operate the enterprise through the organizational structure.
