ABSTRACT
We study in this paper orthogonal projections of generic embedded hypersurfaces in ℝ 4 https://s3-euw1-ap-pe-df-pch-content-public-p.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/9780203912089/10e95e2c-eca6-48d5-adf5-58298374b4f7/content/eq3470.tif"/> to 2-spaces. We list all the generic local singularities of such projections and establish geometric criteria for recognition of the singularities of codimension ≤ 1 and for their versal unfoldings. We also determine a stratification of the set of singular planes of projections.
