ABSTRACT
I concluded the last chapter with a reference to the ‘horns of the dilemma’ and introduce my final chapter with a related cartoon. When I first sent this cartoon to my editor, he was concerned that the image might trivialize the issues addressed in this book. Indeed, at first glance, it is easy to appreciate
rubrics, but there are guidelines. The above depiction brings the fresh insight of a ten-year-old child. It simplifies a very complex situation by showing how it can so easily be resolved. As adults, we become so engrossed in the complexities of certain challenges that we fail to recognize the most straightforward solutions are staring us in the face.
