It’s a bright, sunny day in Egypt. Which day in Egypt isn’t bright and sunny and hot?! Two housewives, oeris, an ethnic Greek, and Flavia, a slightly Romanized Egyptian, happen to meet on the street while out shopping. e conversation that follows has much to tell us about Graeco-Egyptian magic in late antiquity.
