ABSTRACT

Human migration in a general sense denotes any movement of groups of people from one locality to another, rather than of individual wanderers.1 Another definition asserts that human migration simply means any movement by humans from one locality to another, often over long distances or in large groups.2 One basic inference from these definitions is that human migration entails an act of movement from one’s own country to another country or one region to another.
