ABSTRACT

As human beings we become programmed, as time goes on, to be more welcoming to some people than to others. That extends into working life, so that there are some people we avoid and some we walk smilingly to meet. If we carry on with that tendency as leaders, we then find ourselves judging people’s ideas in advance – ‘Ah, this is Chris’s paper. I’m looking forward to reading it’, ‘Lordy, this is Mel’s paper. It’s sure to be a load of rubbish’.
