Formative assessment and feedback techniques
One of the key issues in advocating formative assessment and formative feedback is the impact that these activities have on academic workload. In this chapter we address ways in which we can provide feedback and manage workload at the same time. A variety of different methods and techniques will be introduced and discussed – looking at good practice and at not-sogood practice. Case studies utilising the tools and techniques across a range of disciplines will be presented in Chapter 7.
