ABSTRACT

Ability, the second facet in the Self-MAP (Figure 4.2, p. 82) for the purposes of this book is the condition of being capable or qualified; having sufficient skill, competence, knowledge, power, etc. . . . suitable or sufficient for the purpose. . . . Here I use ‘Ability’ as an umbrella term for the cognitive or mental qualities that students need to recognize and practice, in order to learn, accomplish or achieve results, whether this is for personal, educational or occupational purposes.
