ABSTRACT

Is there anything in particular that Swedish and Norwegian readers may learn from Reversing the Gaze, the project presented in this book, and if so, what? The question may seem rather peculiar, coming so late in the book. Naturally, Nordic decision makers, policy makers, researchers, and interested persons can learn a great deal from the rich and comprehensive studies presented here. I now intend to address some issues relating to content, but above all issues relating to starting points and working methods, as well as the experiences and conclusions that can be drawn primarily by readers from the Nordic countries.
