ABSTRACT

My ®rst personal encounter with sandplay therapy was in 1995 when I attended the thirteenth International Conference of Analytical Psychology in Zurich, Switzerland, and participated in a workshop on sandplay therapy led by Harriet Friedman. When I returned to China, I set up a sandplay room in my home and soon after that I initiated sandplay therapy rooms at three kindergartens in Guangzhou, China. Over several years, 38 sandplay rooms were developed in various kindergartens and schools in different areas in China.
