ABSTRACT

The previous chapter was about the different processes and dimensions of learning – a fundamental area for understanding learning that has not been worked with to any great extent up to now. On the other hand, a great deal of work has been done on the question of whether there are different types of learning and how and in which areas it is possible to distinguish between such types and arrive at an adequate typology (i.e. a set of different learning types that taken together cover all learning). These are the issues I take up in this chapter.
