ABSTRACT
Trade union membership is privileged by the law. There are a number of important rights relating to trade union membership and taking action against trade union members or non-members is likely to prove very expensive. In Your Rights at Work we advise that nobody can: ❍ make anyone join, not join, remain in membership,
or leave a trade union or a particular trade union; or
❍ subject anyone to any detriment on the basis of such choices.
