ABSTRACT
The previous chapter provides a broad picture of the roles of environmental regimes as a medium for distributive justice in the international arena. It was noted that the need for distributive equity in international regimes is now widely appreciated. At the same time it was observed that, although there are contending interpretations of what justice entails in practice, little is said about the actual notions of justice that underpin core global environmental policies.
