LESTER A Matter of Trust (2001) is about sixteen-year-old Darcy Wills and her issues: her boyfriend is losing interest in her; her sick grandmother needs the family’s immediate attention and care; and her father returns aer abandoning Darcy, her younger twelve-year-old sister Jamee, and their mother. Although Jamee seems to have forgiven their father for his actions, Darcy has a dicult time learning to trust him again and to harness and redirect her anger and resentment.
