African Betrayals and African Recovery for a New Future
Clearly, the structure of knowledge in the West has created a situation where the betrayal of Africa has been quite common. Few African scholars have completely escaped the vise of Europe in the analysis of the past, present, or future prospects of Africa. Thus, a web of betrayal of the continent occurs in the language and education of African children in such a way that one generation passes it to the next with little or no question. It is the purpose of this paper to explore the various ways the betrayal of Africa has undermined the continent and to suggest ways forward.
