ABSTRACT

This chapter discusses the Screen Cheating on the auditorium. Actors have to stand really close to one another, far closer than they would allow themselves in any normal or theatrical situation, so the camera can see a nice two-shot. Actors have to look in a certain direction for the camera to see them, even though they should look in a different one if they were really talking to the other person. They would be facing each other, so that they could see each other's expressions. No working on screen she can see nothing, and all he can see is an out-of-focus back of head, as two actors successfully cheat the scene so that the camera can see both of their expressions all of the time. The actor have had to act a meal scene and play a scene in a car sitting on the brake handle in order to get the correct two-shot for the camera.
