ABSTRACT
The Actor Says that between leaving school and going to RADA, he spent five years doing office work for the Automobile Association, taking part in amateur dramatics in the evenings. He have always had a passion for maps and working out routes for people, but the AA insisted on my taking evening classes in shorthand and typing. During a very lean period between acting jobs early in his career, he was able to take a fill-in job typing scripts for a big film company, which was absolutely fascinating and highly enjoyable. First of all, the job of acting is one that many people wish to do, and so there are and always will be many more potential actors than there could ever be jobs. At an early stage in your career, it is a very good plan to get the qualifications that will allow you this lifeline.
